What it does
Start with Center for a lopsided waveform. Add Spectral when different frequency bands need different rotations, or Punch to tighten the attack.
Center
- Balances positive and negative peaks with one phase rotation across the signal. The frequency magnitude stays intact.
Spectral
- Rotates sixteen ERB frequency bands independently when one global rotation is not enough. This mode adds lookback latency.
Punch
- Aligns prominent partials for a tighter attack. It replaces the centered result only when the alignment improves it.

What does Center change?
Center uses equal-frequency phase rotation to rebalance positive and negative peaks. It does not use EQ, compression, saturation, or gain riding.
How is Spectral different from Center?
Center rotates the full signal by one angle. Spectral adds sixteen fixed ERB bands driven by the current analysis.
What does Punch do?
Punch aligns prominent partials toward a tighter attack. It replaces the centered result only when it produces the better match.
Does KORREKT change frequency response?
The correction path uses all-pass filters, which are designed to change phase while retaining magnitude response. Different phase relationships can still change peak shape and how nonlinear processors later in the chain respond.
Does Spectral add latency?
Yes. KORREKT reports the analysis lookback to the host for delay compensation. Center does not add that lookback.
Is KORREKT a phase alignment plugin like Auto-Align?
No. Auto-Align, NUGEN Aligner, and similar tools delay or invert tracks against each other in a multi-mic session. KORREKT is an adaptive phase aligner for one signal: it rotates phase to center asymmetrical vocals, guitars, and other lopsided audio.
Which systems and formats are supported?
The free public beta ships as CLAP and VST3 for macOS, Windows, and Linux. The universal macOS beta is unsigned and includes a local installer.
